The year 2014 in Cologne was marked by the Three Wise Men, whose bones came to the cathedral city in 1164. The Schnütgen Museum took this 850th anniversary as the occasion of a large special exhibition. The oldest object in the exhibition was a 3rd-century grave slab from the Vatican Museums, the most recent was a Neapolitan crib from the 18th century with around 300 figures from the Diocesan Museum in Freising. Also, some precious and rare textiles and goldsmith work, e.g. from the Musée des Tissus in Lyon and from the Green Vault in Dresden were displayed.
We were happy to support the museum in presenting these very special treasures of the time to visitors with the help of the flexible FRANK showcase system and FRANK museum showcases.
