Army Museum at Les Invalides, Paris
To mark the bicentenary of the death of Napoleon, the Musée de l’Armée is proposing a cultural season in 2021 dedicated to this major figure in France’s history. The exhibition Napoléon n‘est plus [‘Napoleon is no more’], runs from 19 May to 31 October 2021.
It looks back at Napoleon‘s death on 5 May 1821, while he was in exile on the island of Saint Helena, and sheds new light on this event, drawing on the disciplines of archaeology, medicine and chemistry.
